Slowing down retail business.
The Slowretail blog is a platform for individual and exciting retailers and markets, a communication pool for slowing down the retail business. We want to make marketing for innovative examples in retail, which teach us that there is an exciting, active life beyond uniformed store concepts and boring shopping malls. Slowretail is an initiative of intrinsic value and inspiring retail, in all its forms and bright colors. . We show exciting shops, traditional or brand new: Stores which deserve that they will be presented to a wider audience. We will not artificially slow down trade but show how good trade is already decelerated.
Who are the Slowretail heroes?
Since 2007, this blog presents good dealers and initiatives from around the world, merchants who enrich our lives. Our markets, initiatives and store concepts are an expression of individuality and creativity. Sometimes innovative, sometimes traditional, they are always unique places for a “slowing down”. Often they are traditional companies that are consistent in their authentically faith in themselves. Shops that manage to live their values and their original merchant demand in product and advice quality, even in modern times. The customers owe it with decades of loyalty, which continues not infrequently over the generations.
Or unique markets, which according to the classical law of the market should be no longer existing. Also courageous and unusual retail concepts are presented here which identify new consumer trends. Above all the concept stores, of which the most fascinating representatives are listed here. They break through traditional branch rules to provide a new kind of lifestyle shops.
Who is it behind Slowretail?
Initiator and soul of the Slowretail blog is Alexander von Keyserlingk who worked as a manager, coach and consultant in the lifestyle-oriented retail for two decades. Hi, I was so inspired by your idea on slow retail that I have started my own concept Gallery – http://www.houseofhedone.co.nz/index.html
I have an underground site but am finding that people can’t find me! How do I get them to come down the stairs? Also could you let me know what you think of the stock I have. Also, can you put me on your list on concept stores?
Cheers
Phoebe
Hey – like your blog. We have a similar philosophy over at http://www.slowtravelberlin.com. Let us know if you need any info from Die Stadt :)
The concept shop is really needed in this society of disposable products and excessive unnecessary waste. Protect the quality and environment is the future. Same as slowfood concept, let’s protect our health, health of the planet and care for each other.
LIV by Au Lit is the natural evolution of retail, where Fashion and Home intertwine. Check it out in Toronto, Canada!
Hello,
thank you for the website,a great idea.
I am an italian girl that has been travelling for the last 6 years, working studing, learning and creating.
I would love to open a concept store in my hometown,Parma,Italy…
But not easy to decide what kind of space would work here…
Somewhere you can go just by car, somewhere you go by feet/bicycle?
Industrial Open space or a little antique church?
Can you help me in some way?
My ispiration is Corso Como in Milan, the only difference would be that all my brands are still unknow in Italy and are not in the market yet.
Regards, CiAO!
