Slowretail is a project, part of a growing movement. Slowretail bases on the need to regenerate value and positive experiences in today’s retail business.
There is a Slowretail community group existing at XING (social network). Feel free to enter!

You recognize

shop concepts without inspiration
again boring presentation
bad product quality
irritating cheap prices
obvious unsocial manufacturing policies
poor customer service?

Please post your opinions here. And when you add your recommendations for a real good retail experience, your wishes and expectations, everything is getting better.

The editor
My name is Alexander von Keyserlingk. I live with my family at the edge of German Ruhrgebiet, not far from Duesseldorf/Cologne.

For 20 years I collected management experience in the retail business, mainly in the fields of fashion and lifestyle products.
Now I develop concepts which are essentially customer-oriented. It pulls me to create retail individuals out of humans, brands and products. Developing fascinating and surprising retail is my goal: in the fields of location, shop operations, customer service standards, and, of course, in the range and combination of products offered.

Slowing down is sometimes easier when people have an actual project to help them get into the mind set. I show people how to make elegant journals. This slows them down both in the process of making the book, but also in encouraging them to write every day. It’s a beautiful, slow experience. I recently produced an instructional video for beginners and am selling it online, so slowretail is a movement after my own heart. -Frankie
