Deutsche Version

Downtown Munich, at historical Hackenviertel, just around the corner of fashion chains and departmentstores, Der Voelkel is both a historic and modern address for bath furniture. It all began 1768 with a plumber’s shop which opened in the Damenstiftstrasse. There are still some mechanic tools to see in the catacombes of the today’s store. Upstairs one finds an impressive exhibition of designer bath furniture on 400 sqm in historic environment.

The exhibited products are available to buy, high-priced and very inspiring. What fascinates most is the mixture of high-tech, hip design and the old fashioned workshop scenery. Creative minds soak up lots of ideas for self-creating bath solutions. Those who want to/can afford to shop are treated with extraordinary customer service from rubber seals to huge house-building projects by the owner personally.
